Thermal expansion coefficient of Fe -Ni Invar alloys at low temperatures hasbeen examined by using the itinerant electron model. It has been found that theexperimental values obtained by Schlosser et at. and by Zakharov and Fedotovcould be explained satisfactorily up to about 200 K by using the expressionderived in the present paper which has three terms, the normal lattice term, thespin wave term which is proportional to T"' and the single particle excitationterm proportional to T
