Magnetic measurements were made, in the weak ferromagnetic temperatureregion ($30 K) and in fields to 55 k0e, on two single crystal samples withoutand with Co impurities, respectively. The magnetization along a direction is wellexpressed by A#(a)=W.(a)4-,z.(a)# at higher fields to 55kOe without anyanomaly like a spin flip. The ratio of W.[00l]: .M.[1lO]: ,V#g[11l] is equal toalmost l : l/J2: 1/V'3. 7-(ox) was found to be almost temperature independent, and to be weakly anisotropic. The transition at T. is of the first order and T.increased in maxnetic fields (d7'./d#=-l-(2.7iO.5)X 10 ' K/kOe). The entror>'change was estimated as 0.7.1.0.2 (J/K=mol). Co impurities were found to stronglyaffect some of magnetic properties. Discussions are given on origins of weakferromagnetism together with other properties. The origin proposed by Yoshimoriet at. seems to work in NiS..
