A linearized theory is presented for the response of magneto-fluid dynamicturbulence to an imposed strong magnetic field in the presence of gyrators suchas the Coriolis force and the Hall effect. The analysis includes these two effects ina unified manner, and the directional energy transfer as well as the energy conver-sion between the mechanical and magnetic modes of turbulence are discussedunder several simplifying assumptions. With a few examples, it is demonstratedthat gyrators act to suppress the modal energy conversion on the one hand, and to equalize the directional partition of energies on the other.
