Numerical Study of Electron Localization in Anderson Model for Disordered Systems : Spatial Extension of Wavefunction

The electron localizatiott is investigated numerically in the Anderson model ofdisordered two dimensional square lattices. The spatiztl behaviors of wavefunctions areexamined for large systems composed of 10' sites. Computations are carried out to seethe Anderson transition at the b?tnd center and to see the localizaUion near the mo bilityedge . Sharp transition at the band center is recognized and the elcctron localization isclearly visualized. The spatial decay rate of localized wavefunction is evaluated in thelocalized region and its dependence on energy or the degree of disorder is determined
