The plastic flow in hcp 'He was investigated by using a new equipment whichwas designed to inaprove the accuracy of measurements. The pronounced yielddrop is always observed at naoderately low temperatures or in high speed Tests,but the yield drop becomes almost undeteclable in low speed tests at high tempera-lures, where the steady flow stress is proportional to one fourth power of the flowrate. At low temperatures and at high pressures flattened upper yield points areobserved frequently, and the steady flow stress becomes independent of the flowrate in low speed tests.
