Effects of 'He ixaapurities in hcp 'He crystals (20.06 Clll'/111010) on the sox.tndvelocity and atteutuation are studied at 'He concentrations between 30 PPIII and1 % at'nd teaat.peratures downt to 0.1 K. In crystals with I '3 'He the velocity changeis proportional to T' and independent of the soun?J frequency Q/2n(=1O -50MHz). The attenuation below I K is proportional to QT' in accordance withthree-phonon processes. No anonaaalies due to the l-CSI)TIIIICC vibration of disloca-lions are observed in contrast to pure hcp 'He cryst:als. In crystals with 30 Pll)111'H'e, a?atplitude dependences are observed below 0.6 K. The i?acreases in thevelocity and the atteuauation in a crystal at 10 MHz and 0.3 K are 1.7 x 10 ' a.nd13 dB, respectively, whetv the autc.p]itude is raised fro?am. IQ to 40 dB. It is concltudedthat the 'He i?a?purities pin the dislocations with a birtding energy of about 0.3 K.
