The magnetic susceptibilities of an AgI-AgBr system have been measured as a funclion of concentration and temperature. Temperature dependence of the suscep-tibilities is interpreted in terms of a bond-orbital model. An atempt to separate theVan Vleck term from the Langevin term is made on the basis of this model. Impor-tant roles of the s-d hybridization and the overlap of valence orbitals are also pointedout from these results.
