Distributions of hyperfine magnetic field for four α-Mn specimens with 0.1 to 0.2 at. %Sn are evaluated by ^<119m>Sn Mossbauer spectra. The distributions at very low temperature have a sharp peak and a steep decline in the field magnitude, contrasting with the broad distribution of β-Mn(Sn) alloy which has a characteristic gradual decline in the field magnitude. The hyperfine field distribution for the 0.2 at. %Sn alloy shows an extra peak around zero field in a temperature-range below the Neel temperature. The Neel temperature obtained from the Mossbauer study rapidly increases up to 180 K by adding 0.2 at. %Sn. More than 70% of Sn atoms occupy site II, as determined by neutron diffraction.
