All types of chiral transformations for hadron fields are discussed in general. Local and non-linear chiral transformations are investigated in detail for pseudoscalar mesons. Whereas linear and local chiral transfomrations (which are non-linear for pseudoscalar mesons) are discussed for all other hadrons and shown to be "unique" provided the field variables are suitably redefined. General discussions are given on chiral invariant Lagrangian, equal-time commutators for currents, and conservation laws for currents in the presence of electromagnetic couplings, etc.
