In a previous re-analysis of the I = 0 S-wave ππ-scattering phase shift, we have found evidence of a σ particle accompanied by a negative "repulsive core"-type background phase shift. We make further analysis under the KK^^- threshold to determine the permissible range of σ mass and width in accordance with present experimental data.
