We discuss how the non-linear of systems affects the nature of their coherence. We use a model of two coupled kicked rotors and investigate the evolution of the reduced density matrix ρ_<red> obtained by tracing out one of them. We observe that ρ_<red> decoheres even through the coarsegraining of one degree of freedom then the system has a strong non-linearity.
