It is shown that (i) the data for σ(γγ→π^0π^0) give us information about both the existence of resonances such as a broad scalar εmeson with M≅480 MeV(the f_2(1270)meson) and the reason why the ε(the f_2) can hardly (easily) be observed and (ii) the experimental results for σ(γγ→ππ) in the 0.3-0.6 GeV(the 1.1-1.4 GeV) range can be explained well by the Born term and the correction term obtained by taking into account the effect of the ε(480)(the f_2(1270)) produced in the ππ final-state.
