We present calculations of state densities of systems consisting of strings, and show new results of thermodynamic properties in a lowest order approximation, which include effects from lower mass spectrum and momenta of strings. These effects are not considered in previous works. The problem of negative specific heat is solved naturally by including these effects. This formalism is applicable to interacting strings.
