Pre-critical behaviour of neutron matter associated with pion condensation is investigated, in the framework of the Generator Coordinate Method. The instability of the normal phase against charged and neutral condensation is described with Gaussian and harmonic approximation. The relevance of anharmonic corrections due to the Pauli principle is discussed, for the case of π^- condensation.
