In connection with the BRS operator gauge transformation and Slanov-Taylor identities, we comment on a Feynman-type gauge formulation of the Yang-Mills field in the presence of the Gribov problem. It is noted that a simple covariant prescription is possible for those field configurations A_μ which do not affect the asymptotic correspondence between the gauge parameter ωand the longitudinal component τ defined by τ≡δ^μ <A_μ>^ω.
