The bootstrap condition Z_1=Z_3=0 in field theory is discussed in the perturbative Zachariasen model with cutoff. Special care is taken of the fact that an associated pole of the propagator appears in addition to the original one as Z_3→0, and the "double renormalization", with respect to these two poles, is carried out which enables one to elucidate the physical significance of the bootstrap condition. It is shown that in the two-pole case the condition is essentially different from the equivalence condition between the Yukawa and Fermi theories and leads either to the decoupling limit of the associated pole or to the coalescing limit of two poles. The Reggeization condition in the sense of Kaus and Zachariasen and Ida is discussed in detail.
