On the assumption that the baryon mass splitting can be approximated to be infinitesimal in comparison with the mean baryon mass, not with a cutoff momentum, the spontaneous mass splitting is investigated in the model in which the octet baryons and mesons interact under the two interactions of Yukawa type fully symmetric under SU_3 transformations. In some cases the Gell-Mann Okubo formula really follows, independently of the cutoff momentum. Among others, the Σ-Λ mass splitting and therefore all the relative spacings of the baryon mass splitting can be fitted to the experimental values near the D-coupling limit (f_D/f_F≒7.85).
