A sum rule is derived for the decay amplitudes of the decuplet baryon isobars (J^π=3/2^+) to the lowest order of symmetry-violating interactions. It holds quite well within the experimental errors. The anomalous branching ratio of the Y_<1^*> decay is well understood in terms of symmetry-violating effects.
