The phenomenological effective Lagrangian for the annihilation of two photons into pions derived by Aviv, Hari Dass and Sawyer and generalized by Yao is used to examine multiple pion production in the reactions γ+γ→pions. We find that the cross section for γγ→nπ^+nπ^- increases with s. The processes γγ→nπ^+nπ^-π^0 and γγ→(2n+1)π^0 are also treated and we conclude that the charged mode dominates over the neutral mode.
