High Energy Elastic Hadron-Hadron Scattering and Electromagnetic Structure of Hadron

The differential cross section for hadron-hadron elastic scattering at high energy and the electromagnetic form factor of hadron are studied in the framework of the parton model. We calculate the electromagnetic structure function, _νW_2^<lH>, for deep inelastic lepton-hadron scattering and use the Drell-Yan conjecture to relate it with the electromagnetic form factor of meson (baryon) which is shown to decrease as (-t)^<-3/2>((-t)^2) for large (-t). Assuming the universal four-Fermi interaction for partons, we extend the Wu-Yang conjecture so that the differential cross sections for elastic meson-baryon and baryon-baryon scatterings for large (-t) decrease as (-t)^<-7> and (-t)^<-8>, respectively.
