It is pointed out that two selection rules, (i) ΔS=ΔQ for strangeness-changing processes and (ii) |ΔQ|≦1, successfully describe the present experimental situation of semi-leptonic weak processes concerning their changes in charge and strangeness of hadrons involved. From a generalization of the known isospin selection rules for ΔS=0, ΔQ=±1 and AS=AQ= ±1 processes it is conjectured that ΔS=ΔQ=0 processes might obey the rule ΔI=0. Invoking the quark-parton model, (V, A) structure of ΔS=ΔQ=0 interaction with I=0 is examined. It is shown that, in a model in which the neutral-current is simply the baryonic and/or hypercharge current, the cross-section ratio of ν_μ+p⇾ν_μ+p to ν_μ+n⇾μ^-+p near the forward direction may be as large as 1.2.
