We investigate the charm-violating weak interaction in the SU(3)´×SU(3)" scheme of the three-triplet model and show that it provides a reasonable framework for describing a new type of processes such as indicated by the recent cosmic ray experiment. We also point out that the charm- and hypercharge-conserving coupling between the two SU(3) groups would necessarily destroy isospin invariance and that the interplay of this "meso-strong" interaction with the weak interaction would give rise to CP violation for strangeness-changing nonleptonic processes.
