A detailed study is given for the primary correction to the RPA polarization. This correction comes from polarization graphs obtained from the simplest one by inserting an interaction line. Here the interaction line is the screened one with the use of the dynamical RPA dielectric function. It is proved that the plasmon contribution is considerably large in the region of 1.7≲q≲2.0 with wavevector q in units of the Fermi radius. This contribution is shown to become more important with increasing r_s. The scattering contribution is also studied. Our results prove consistent with Geldart and Vosko's relation for the long wavelength limit.
