A generalization of Sawada's attached field method is discussed as an attepmt of non-linear extension of the conventional quasiparticle random-phase approximation (QRPA). It is refoumulated to be suitable for the analysis of the renormalization effects on the single-quasiparticle field. The renormalization effects are calculated by solving a self-consistency peoblem wihich comes from taking account of the non-linear effect ignored in the conventional QRPA. It is showm with simple models that the approximation used in the renormalization method is fairly good and the renormalization effects play an essential role in the transitional region.
