水田におけるBHCの残留に関する研究

The fate of four BHC isomers applied in paddy fields have been continuously investigated for a few years. BHC residues in soils and crops were extracted with acetone and then transferred into n-hexane. After cleaning up with a Florisil column, the BHC isomers were determined by electroncapture gaschromatography. When BHC granules were applied to the potted soil, it was absorbed and translocated itself into plant tissues from contaminated soils and accumulated in the hulled rice at 0.04 to 0.23 ppm total-BHC. The examination of BHC residues in soil, hulled rice and straw was conducted with samples taken from paddy fields in Saga and Kagawa Agricultural Experiment Station. The residue amounts of BHC in hulled rice was influenced not only by the spray history, but also by the BHC residues in surrounding fields. One year after the prohibition of BHC application, the content of BHC residues in hulled rice decreased by about 1/3 to 1/5. A significant positive correlation (r=0.82^**) was found between content of residual BHC in soil and that in hulled rice, when the former was expressed in log values. A high content of organic matter in the soil seems to inhibit BHC absorption by the rice plant. Most of BHC residues in soil, especially β-isomer, was found in surface soils. The relative content of each BHC isomer in hulled rice, straws and soils was not similar to that in technical products. The β/γ ratios of BHC residues in hulled rice and soils were 10 times as large as that of technical products, and the δ/γ ratios in those were 3 to 5 times that of technical products.
