The simplified Voltage Controlled Oscillator(VCO) which composed by a polarity changer, an integrator and a hysteresis switch are serviceable for function generators, testing signal sources and control signal sources. The VCO presented in this paper has fine linearity as ± 1[%] over the 3-decade frequency range, very small temperature drift constant as -0.7[Hz/℃] and fairly large frequency sensitivity as -330[Hz/V] due to the change of the supply voltage under the full scale input voltage. To eliminate the frequency sensitivity due to the change of the supply voltage, a voltage limitter which composed by tow current regulator diodes and two zener diodes is connected with the output stage of the OPA which make up the hysteresis switch. From the experiments, the following results are confirmed under the full scale condition.1. The frequency sensitivity due to the change of the supply voltage is decreased as -35 [Hz/V]. 2. The temperature drift constant is increased as 6.5 [Hz/℃]. In this paper the theoretical analysis and expermental results on the frequency sensitivity due to the change of the supply voltage and the temperature drift of the output frequency due to the change of the ambient temperature are also included.
