• We are now in an affluent society of high consumption in this country which we had never thought of before. In this materially welcoming rich situation, however, we are losing the mind of traditional modesty in life, which was long held by our ancestors toward nature and human life. You, the young, have the great possibilities in your future life to your chocices of profession and working field. Yet you are facing at a historical time of great changes led by so-called IT Revolution as seen in the daily advances of PC and Information Technologies, which is lately compared to the Industrial Revolution of the past. To live in such historical time of changes, we should keep our keen attention to our moral life in idealistic global view, which will finally lead us to higher position of spirituality and humanity. The choice of your jobs and works, I do hope, will be made both in line with this philosophical view of Idealism and the self-character -building.
