• The need for social welfare and the attention to social changes are increasing greatly when compared to earlier decades in Japan. In this time of changes as seen in values and styles of life and culture in this country, a long-term and broad perspective is necessary if we are to achieve healthy lifestyles in society, a worldwide perspective not yet taken in our history of policy making. The fact that we have not enjoyed to date such a perspective can be linked to the lack of a long-term philosophical and world-historical view. Thinking of social welfare, we are now in need of philosophical discussion and thought, from which we can derive our basis and direction for making not only wealthy but healthy lives for the new century. In this paper, I will address this point from an educational point of view to develop the good nature of humans as been in our everyday existence.
