The preparation of polyvinyl alcohol(PVA)-aniline composites, urea-aniline composites, Solidago Altissima Linn(SAL)-PVA composites, phenol-SAL-formaldehyde composites, etc. and molding condition of these composites filled with chamotte and SAL were investigated. Flexural strength of these composites filled with Chamotte was found larger than that of polyvinyl acetal, urea resins and phenol resins. Flexural strength of the composites filled with SAL and Chamotte was found larger than that of Chamotte alone. When the mole ratio of formaldehyde to PVA and the weight ratio of SAL to PVA are respectively 0.5 and 22%, the composites obtained is suitable for Chamotte board. A mixture of SAL-acetal composites 20, dry stalk's powder of SAL 10 and Chamotte powder(100-150mesh) 70 parts was kneaded at 80℃ and then molded at 120℃ and 50Kg/ cm^2 for 60 minutes to give a resin-SAL-Chamotte composite board having flexural strength of 280 Kg/cm^2.
