Single crystals of lead titanate were prepared by a method using PbCl_2 flux from the mixture of PbO and TiO_2. We observed the crystals obtained under the crossed nicols and recognized 'miscellaneous patterns of domain structure as in the case of barium titanate. When the crystal is heated above 530℃, the patterns disappear suddenly at this temperature and the sight of microscope becomes dark. The ratio of the crystal parameters resulted from the angle of domain patterns with the crystal edge was compared with the one due to the X-ray analysis. (Received May 6, 1952)
