La_5Sr_1Cu_6O_<15-δ> thin films were epitaxially grown on SrTiO_3 singlecrystal substrates by the RF sputtering method. They exhibited anisotropic electrical and optical properties in directions from parallel to perpendicular to the c-axis, but the degree of anisotropy was smaller than that found in the usual high-T_c superconductors. The resistivity in the [001] direction was metallic and that in the [100] direction exhibited a broad peak at about 180 K. The anisotropic behavior can be explained by assuming that this matter has a quasi-one-dimensional electronic structure. Furthermore, the Hall coefficients were negative and decreased rapidly with decreasing temperature. This behavior of the Hall coefficients conflicts with other transport phenomena.
