Thin films of infinite-1ayers (mainly Sr_xCa_<1-x>CuO_y ; SCCO) were deposited on SrTiO_3(001) substrates by a sputtering method. It was found by X-ray diffraction analysis that the infinite structure was formed for x=0.2 to 0.4. Next, two methods were used for the purpose of hole-doping into SCCO films : (i) Some samples with BaBiO_3 or BaCuO_2 overlay were prepared, and then the effect of the overlay on conductivity was examined. As a result, all samples were semiconductive, but the ones with overlays showed reduction in resistance. This reduction suggests hole-doping owing to additional oxygen atoms induced by the overlays. (ii) Multi-layered films of SCCO and SrBi_O_y were prepared, and their resistance was measured. A superconducting sample was obtained when the deposition-ratio was 22 vs. 8 sec. This sample, however, was only partially semiconductive.
