In the previous paper the method of long chain approximation (LCA) and its application to the analysis of n-paraffin thermal cracking were described. Due to the simplified reaction mechanisum used in LCA, it is found that the application of LCA is limited to a low conversion reqion of the cracking process. In this paper, an extended method of LCA which includes secondary reactions of the cracking products in the reaction mechanisum is presented. It is expected that this extended method may be used to predict the product compositions of the n-paraffin cracking without limitation on the range of conversion. An example of the application of the extended method of LCA to the analysis of the propane cracking is shown. And comparisons of the analytical results with the experimental data are made.
