In this paper, the optimum realizable linear filter using the root mean square error criterion is discussed. Firstly, a transmission model discussed in this paper is shown, and a Wiener-Hopf equation for this model is calculated. This equation is solved by means of use of the method of spectrum factorization and some response functions of the filter are evaluated using suitable practical data. Moreover, the obtained results are considered in some aspects.
