In studying the electric destruction of liquid insulator, the structure of its destruction differs according to the kind of supplying voltage, polality, and the method of the supply of voltage, namely the time of supply and the ascent rate of voltage. In this paper, we have searched for the influence of the time of supply on the breakdown voltage on the surface discharge in oil when we supply voltage of business cycle. And also we examined the difference between the figure of alternating current and positive figure of direct current in oil. Then neither of them are twig-shaped figures, but both of them are mist-like and trunk-like figures. By the electric discharge figure, we have explained that the direct current discharge on the surface is defensive against corona but the discharge figure in alternating current is a trunk-like figure with ring-like figure around it and this ring-like part developes, throws a bridge between electrodes, and leads to the breakdown.
