In many machine tool spindles, angular contact ball bearings are mainly used, and for a high speed spindle the heat generation in bearing is one of the most significant problems. In oreder to prevent the temperature increase, oil-jet luburication is newly developed and the practical application is tried by machine tool builders. The relationship between a quantity of lubricant and the heat generation was reported up to dn value of 2.0 million in first report. In this report, the tested results is discribed up to dn value of 2.4 million when oli-jet lubrication is applied to the higher speed drive of an angular contact ball bearing.
