The rearity of the energy expenditure during a day in daily life was investigated for 64 women's students. Moreover, the relation between the energy expenditure and the daily life style was examined. The results obtained were as follows : 1. It was 50.8% in the measurement value of BMI when "Became thin too much" and "Became thin" were totaled. On the other hand, "Became thin" was 15.6%, and when "Obesity" and "Obesity boundary region" were totaled, 39.1% at the rate of the body fat. 2. The average of the energy expenditure during a day was 1770±161 kcal, and it was few. Less than 1600 kcal was 17.2%. 3. The average of the amount of the movement during a day was 424±104 kcal, and the average of the number of steps during a day was 8156±1895 steps. Both individual variations were large. 4. The number of intake foods during a day was about 22 kinds. It was considerably fewer than 30 kinds of the target value which the Ministry of Health and Welfare was indicating. 5. The frequency of skipping meals was 0.41±0.71 times in 3 days on the average. The person who skip the meals was 29.7% in the period of three days. 6. Bedtime was 35 minutes pass 0 o'clock on the average. The sleeping hour was a little at 6 hours and 34 minutes on the average. 7. In the question of movement-custom, "Provide" was 34.4%, and "Not provide" was 65.6%. 8. In the correlation of the energy expenditure, the body situation, and the life situation, significant was admitted in a lot of factors.
