The purposes of this study are o compare awareness toward the bag between the generations, and to examine the relationship between the awareness toward the bag and lifestyle, the interest in fashion, and the awareness toward the waste of clothing goods. Data ware provided with the total of 273 women, 170,the young generation and 103,the middle age one. The results are as follows : (1)The purchase price of the middle age generation is higher than the young generation, and the purchase frequency of young generation is higher than the middle age generation. (2)About the usage method, the young generation has one big bag in many cases, as for how to have a bag by the middle age generation is diversifield. (3)About the possession, in every scene, handbag type and shoulder type are held in many cases. For a material, as for the middle age generation, leather and synthetic leather are held, as for the young generation, cloth and nylon are held. (4)About the taste of a bag, the handbag type and the shoulder type are held by choice, and hold type and kincyaku type were disliked in young generation, waist type and hold type in the middle age generation. (5)The young generation concern about Brand-name goods is very low compares with the middle age generation and young generation concern about a Japanese wrapping cloth is very low compared with the middle age generation.
