• This paper reports the characteristics of structural response of buildings with seismic isolation bearings. In this paper, vibration tests for a building model are reported. The effect of isolation bearings was remarkable. The dumping ratio was evaluated by static cyclic loading tests and dynamic vibration tests. And some computer simulation results for actual size buildings with isolation bearings to earthquakes are reported.
