This study aims to enhance the nature of architectural design, by considering the trend of architectural designs and expressions of the modern age from the viewpoint of architectural iconology, and also by clarifying the origin of creation by an architect. This fifth study deals with the drawings of Italian architect, Renzo Piano (1937-), who was born into a family of builders in Genova in Italy. Genova is his hometown, "a gleam of sunlight on the windshield." Young architect starts out always with style, but Piano started with "doing", with the building site, with the knowledge of construction techniques. Then his experimentation has gradually led him to an awareness of its complexity as space, expression, and form. For Piano the idea that technique and art belong to separate is as harmful as it is recent. Piano's architectural drawings evoke an architectural experience of aliveness and a sense of participation in the forms and processes of nature.
