In this paper, the results of the comparison of four caliburation methods for soil stress gage are discussed. The caliburation methods used in this tests are following four types. (1) The gage is loaded by hydrostatic stress caused by air pressure. (Hydrostatic stress method) (2) The gage is loaded by sand weight. (Sand weight method) (3) The gage is covered with thin sand layer, cast shot weight apply over this thin sand layer. (Cast shot weight method) (4) The gage being set in sand column is loaded by hydrostatic stress caused by water pressure. (Sand column method) All tests are discussed in relation to the rated output of the gages. The results from sand column method are slightly small in comparison of the one of hydrostatic stress method. The results from cast shot method is significantly different from the results of other three method. These are almost appropriate from the point of view of sand resistance near by gage and condition of the gages.
