A Case of Retinoblastoma Suspected by Optic Nerve Invasion by MR Imaging

We report here a 27 month-old girl patient with retinoblastoma. Remark-able enhancement of the retrobulbar optic nerve in magnetic resonance imag-ing (MRI) by gadolinium suggested optic nerve invasion preoperatively but no optic nerve invasion was recognized histopathologically. Retrospectively, this MRI finding was identified as inflammatory changes surrounding the optic nerve due to circulatory disturbance by tumor compression to vessels.
