Charge State Distribution of Multiply-Charged Ions Extracted from ECR-Plasma

An ion source based on the ECR-heating in a magnetic field has been developed in order to apply it to atomic collision experiments. Extracted ions were observed up to Ar^<8+> and N^<5+>. From the charge state distribution observed, the confinement time of ions is estimated for each charge state.
