The wave length of ion wave decreases in r.f. electric field. The slowing down of ion wave becomes small as the frequency of ion wave increases. This phenomena can be explained by the additional pressure which is produced by the spatial modulation of r.f. field on account of ion wave. This paper describes a new branch of the dispersion relations of ion waves in a high frequency electric field.
