Control of optical pulse at visible region is directly demonstrated using pulse trapping by soliton pulse in photonic crystal fibers. The wavelength of trapped pulse is continuously blue-shifted from 0.53 to 0.45 μm by merely varying the power of control pulse. Characteristics of pulse trapping are examined both experimentally and numerically. The maximum trapping efficiency of 95% and fast temporal response of 1.5 ps are observed experimentally. The faster response of 0.5 ps is predicted from the numerical analysis.
