The smart office based on the ubiquitous technology must be designed to maximize user's working efficiency in a comfortable circum stance, increase the level of security on users, user information and office facilities, and achieve economic efficiency. Such human-centered technology and an intelligent environment, a physical space is perceptually enabled, that is capable of natural human interactions, and that provides both proactive and reactive services to a community of users. An smart office needs to control a wide range of physical devices. Additionally, that needs to control a significant number of software components. This study analyzes environmental changes and characteristics of working spaces where ubiquitous technology is applied, based on the understanding of the components for each function of the existing working spaces and integration factors between physical and digital elements in an ubiquitous environment.
