In this study, we report a broadband regenerative amplifier with a bandwidth of ${\sim}200$ nm utilizing a gain-narrowing compensator made of multiple dielectric layers. The pulse width of the transform-limited pulse calculated from the measured spectrum of the output pulse from the regenerative amplifier is less than 9 fs. Our calculation suggests that the gain-narrowing compensation using multiple dielectric layers and reduction in the residual dispersion utilizing a pair of prisms and the dispersion compensator with a spatial light modulator are useful for the generation of ${\sim}10$ fs pulses from a chirped-pulse amplification system including a regenerative amplifier.
