This paper focuses on the Okinawan-Peruvian music and performance practices based on the interview and observation that the author realized in March, 2011 at Lima-Peru. First, I describe a life history of an Okinawan-peruvian talent named Yochan Azama in order to show how he became a trilingual presenter of events and singer of Japanese, Okinawan and Spanish, and his role as a trainer of younger Okinawan-Peruvian singers as a mentor of developing cultural activities in Japanese-Peruvian communities. In follwoing part, I analyze the performances of The 8th Artistic Cultural Festival of the Peru Kitanakagusuku Sonjinkai (Association for those from Kitanakagusuku and their descendents) which is constituted by different kinds of Japanese, Okinawa and Peruvian music and dances. Based on the analysis, in summary, I would like to show how music and dance performances that Okinawan-Peruvian practice in Peru create bonds between nations, ethnic groups and generations.
