“The Kii Kokuzo Shidai” is a genealogy that the Ki no Atai clan made. In this text, the existenceform of the Ki no Atai clan was considered by paying attention to the approval process of this genealogy between the eighth century and the ninth century. First, the contents of this genealogy is basically consistent with other documents. However, no other copy of the materials. Thus, the material in the genealog is thought to be the genealog which was made with “The Honkei cho”. Secondarily, from the existence of this genealogical mention and multiple lines take over the Kii Kokuzo, I made clear that Hiroyo was coming from of branch family. Third, the format of this genealogy, Oshiho served as the Kii Kokuzo and secretary in the Nagusa county, two employments were not held concurrently from MuRo to Tsukio, and Hiroyo held two employments concurrently according to theprecedent of Oshiho. It has been thought thatthe Kii Kokuzo has reigned over the Nagusa county, for a long time before the seventh centuryso far. It has been understood fixing very much. But in the ninth century when Hiroyo succeeded to the Kii Kokuzo, it greeted a big turning point in the times for the clan. This genealogy tells the counterplan the appearance of the clan who tries to strengthen the control to the stronghold at that time.
