About Mandarin Chinese "verb-copying" sentences, it is allegedly said that the first verb of its two verbs can be occasionally deleted. In previous articles, the question when and why this phenomenon occurs has not been mentioned. Since a language has its consistent system, obligatorily duplicated verbs cannot be arbitrarily deleted. According to synchronic and diachronic observation, verb-copying seems to be an obligatory process too. If so, the sentence in question (他汉语说得很流利) cannot be explained by the verb-deletion. This paper suggests object-preposing to explain this sentence. Objects are preposed when intensification or comparison is needed. So this construction is used to intensify or to compare the object, and native speakers' intuition also supports this analysis.
